Life Is Not Politics
President George Washington, The Father Of Our Country, explained the entirety of politics in his Farewell Address on September 19, 1796. In a nutshell, he explained that the essential nature of people who thirst to become politicians is to accumulate power by any means necessary.
Lord Acton agreed: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely".
Politicians agree. Democrat politicians say Republican politicians are the devil incarnate, and Republican politicians say Democrat politicians are the devil incarnate. Who knows more about politicians than politicians?
When politicians say they are going to give us something, what they really mean is they are going to take our money from us, take their vig off the top, and then give us back what's left over. When politicians say One Man One Vote, what they really mean is One Mogul One Million Votes. When politicians say it's a crime to defraud a person out of something valuable, what they really mean is it's a crime unless it's a politician using lies and false promises to defraud voters out of their valuable right to vote.
Each day we wake up, go to work, make money to support our families and to support politicians' families, go home, go to sleep, and begin again the next day. But life is not politics. We live life, not politics.
What do we get for our life from politicians, in exchange for our supporting their families? Is our life twice as good today while politicians spend $6 trillion of our money each year, compared to how good our life was a decade ago when politicians spent half that amount?
One answer to that question is available for all to see ... thanks to the New York Post. The answer is in an article that it published on April 6, 2024 titled "NYC subway station still 'crack den' a year after Post report -- with needles galore, half-naked addicts roaming poop-covered platforms". The URL for the article is https://nypost.com/2024/04/06/us-news/nyc-subway-station-still-crack-den-a-year-after-post-report/.
The beginning of the article is set forth below, but the photographs have been removed because they may be upsetting. The photographs can be seen at the URL. They are graphic evidence of Sodom and Gomorrah here and now. They are graphic evidence not of politics, but of life.
May the day soon come when politicians don't separate themselves from us, even going so far as to deploy metal fences, razor wire, and armed troops around the Capitol, Supreme Court, and White House.
May the day soon come when politics and life are one.

NYC subway station still ‘crack den’ a year after Post report — with needles galore, half-naked addicts roaming poop-covered platforms

Nearly a year after The Post reported junkies turned the 181st Street No. 1 train station into a shooting gallery, the transit hub’s conditions have spiraled further, with half-naked addicts roaming the human feces-covered platforms.
The Post observed this week a familiar scene of hundreds of needles and orange caps tossed by addicts onto the tracks at the Washington Heights station, while a man without pants covered in track marks stumbled along the uptown platform littered with sharps.
At opposite ends of the platform sat mounds of human feces.
Exhausted passengers, many with children in tow, rushed past the needles while holding their noses to block the wretched stink.
