Big Beautiful Bill

My friend Steve was fond of saying: Human beings are some of the funniest people I know.

With the force of arms, we revolted against our king. With our Constitution, we created a new nation. With our our precious votes, we elected our President. And here we are, trying to destroy him, by any means necessary, even by assassination.

We even are trying to prevent him from doing what we elected him to do. (Think about that.)

Yes, I'm talking about President Trump. No, I'm not talking just about President Trump. President Obama got elected on his promise to close Guantanamo. He didn't close Guantanamo. His explanation is that he was prevented from closing it.

Today is about President Trump's Big Beautiful Bill. It implements what we elected him to do, by popular vote and electoral vote. And here we are, trying to prevent it from becoming law.
