A Tale of Two People
History is a tale of two people ... the equal, and the more equal.
The equal people are the audience at the Peter, Paul and Mary 25th Anniversary Concert. Watch the concert, watch the audience. See their tears of salvation as they sing along with songs of truth, freedom, and love. See their smiles as they are liberated from the songs of the other world.
They are not bitter people clinging to their bibles. They are not suffering from a neurological disorder called religion. They know there is more above us than only sky.
They love God and country. They love right and just. They love If I Had A Hammer, This Land Is Your Land, Where Have All The Flowers Gone, and Blowin' In The Wind.
They believe in the existential bond between parents and their own children, unbroken by the more equal people. They believe in not judging people by the color of their skin. They believe in freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press.
They believe in We the People and in one nation under God ... not in deplorables and in God Damn America!
Remember e pluribus unum. Hold hands. Pray, all together.
Endowed by our Creator with unalienable Rights.
Amen.
